Restorative Wellness at Château Bosgouet
Our Château is perfectly situated within walking distance of Forêt domaniale de la Londe-Rouvray.
In 2015, the state Forest of Londe-Rouvray was awarded the "Forêt d'exception" (Exceptional Forest) certification. This certification, given by the National Forests Office, rewards sustainable projects in major state forests and is labeled as such in recognition of its richness.
This forest covers over 6,177 acres and is nothing other than majestic. The flora is diverse with oaks, beeches and Scots pine. And you may also be able to discover natural sites with varied ecosystems such as ponds, limestone lawns or caves.
What is ‘Bosgouet Magic’?
For the last twenty years, we have welcomed guests into our home who could use a little ‘Bosgouet Magic’ - as we believe that the therapeutic capacity of living simply within a supportive community cannot be overstated.
The ‘Bosgouet Magic’ initiative started with those moving through grief in mind. Specifically, it was aimed at reaching parents who have lost a child.
We have found over the years that Bosgouet has become a kind of sanctuary for parents who are moving through the most intense stages of grief, and it is an honour to offer support during such a devastating time.
